The remaining part of the pipe is then pulled out of the gearbox. The new filter is inserted and is retained, the sump pan & gasket is then fitted. I was in a rush so just snapped mine off! The bolts one end of the sump are to close to use a socket so you need a spanner 1/2 a turn at a time.
11 At this point add fluid to the gearbox through the level plug on the corner of the sump, 'til it flows out.. 12 Once it flows out Start the engine and with your foot firmly on the brake, cycle it through the gears pausing for 3 seconds in each gear.. 13 Wait for about 10 mins and then recheck the level.
